As a parent, your top priorities are your child’s well-being and happiness. You know that in order to achieve those goals, you need to ensure your child gets help and guidance from the very best teachers and schools.
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) only accredits 8% of the preschools in the United States, and Advantage Learning Center is proud to be part of that number. When you choose an NAEYC-accredited preschool program such as ours, you can be sure that your child will benefit from the best early childhood education program in the Denver and Lakewood, CO area.
Our Curriculum and Methods
In our preschool program, we focus primarily on teamwork and cooperation. Our teachers work alongside your child to foster respect, community, and social-emotional skills in the classroom. We make it our priority to expand our students’ knowledge through a variety of teaching methods, including the following.
Small- and Large-Group Time
Children in our preschool program benefit from working with different student groups on a regular basis. While they work in these groups, your children learn content from all main groups of curriculum, including science, math, literacy, the arts, technology, and social studies.
We don’t teach each type of content in isolation. Instead, we integrate each piece of curriculum so your child can better understand how it applies to his or her life.
Large-Motor and Fine-Motor Skills
Our playground equipment gives your children the opportunity to safely enjoy physical activity and tune their large-motor skills. We incorporate dancing, exercising, and playing physical games into our daily activities.
We also help our students develop fine-motor skills through learning small manipulatives, writing skills, and self-help skills.
Literacy and Language
You will find in our classrooms printed posters and signs to help promote our students’ reading skills as well as samples of our student’s work to demonstrate their learning and creativity. We foster a love of books during our reading time, when the teachers read aloud to groups. We also set aside time for work on individual students’ language and literacy skills.
We promise to give your child only the highest quality education. Call us now at (303) 914-5482 with any questions regarding our programs. You can also reach us through our online contact form.
